I have reached out multiple times regarding my concerns but have not received any response yet. I wanted to share my experience to bring attention to an issue that has caused significant stress and financial burden.

When placing international orders, it’s important to note that declared values for items are not always provided. This can result in UPS charging exorbitant customs fees along with additional handling charges. In my case, for two orders, I was billed over $400 CAD in customs and fees.

After reaching out via email, Instagram posts, and direct messages, I only received acknowledgment that my inquiry would be reviewed after a week. I understand policies take time, but the lack of clear communication has been frustrating.

Additionally, I noticed that if an item is returned to the seller, there are restocking fees and return shipping charges. Refusing delivery after multiple delivery attempts may result in items being sent back to the seller, but this process is unclear and adds further stress.

In my experience, this felt like extortion. On a $765 CAD order, I faced nearly $400 CAD in additional charges – almost 50% of the order value. After hours of contacting both Olympia and UPS customer service, I finally discovered that self-declaring my items was an option, which reduced my final customs charge to $114 CAD.

I believe clearer guidelines and support from your team would significantly improve the customer experience. Transparency about customs processes
